Tangkuban Perahu

Have you been to Mt. Tangkuban Perahu? It’s one of the tourist resorts in West Java. It’s a volcanic mountain. On one Saturday my fellow teachers and I went to Tangkuban Perahu for some refreshing. We didn’t go straight to Tangkuban perahu, instead, we stopped at Jayagiri and started to walk from there to get to the mountain.
The weather was very cloudy. We were afraid that it would rain soon. Luckily it didn’t. We were able to talk a walk without the rain. Since I brought my digital camera with me, my friends and I never forgot to pose. We always hunted for a good place as our background. We stopped for a while to have our lunch then continued our journey.
Finally we arrived at Tangkuban Perahu. It was crowded since it’s Saturday. Many visitors came to have a recreation with their family and friends. When we were having our lunch, it rained heavily. Since we were hungry, rain didn’t stop us from enjoying our lunch. We used umbrellas to protect us. We took some pictures near the crater. The weather was very cold plus the rain.
If you need hat or scarf to protect you from the cold, you just buy there. They are some sellers who sell hat and scarf besides the souvenirs and food. If you feel like riding a horse to take a tour, it is also available. And there’s an interesting thing you can do there. You can eat an egg that boiled inside the crater. Curious about the taste, well just go there and taste it. Have a good vacation.

프라이팬 놀이/Frying Pan Game/BTS

Playing Frying Pan Game/BTS We played a new game called Frying pan game (프라이팬 놀이) with our Korean guests in our Korean Class. It was fun. It’s like catching the mouse game. We learn the Korean numbers in the same time. Say, if your friend mentions your name and the number, you have to mention your name according to the number he/she mentions previously. For example, if your friend says "Dana dul (2)", so you have to say your name twice, "Dana...Dana" and so on and so on. If you make a mistake, well, you get the punishment. The type of the punishment depends on the agreement of the players. They are many types, trust me. Just choose one. Historical Visit

Historical Visit Besides visiting Baduy. We also visited the old Banten. Banten used to be the most popular kingdom. It is known till England. Once their representative visited England and they were welcomed exaggeratedly. Banten is famous because it had an international port for trading. People from many countries visited it. Unfortunately there’s disagreement between the father—Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa—and the son—Sultan Haji who collaborated with the Dutch—which lead to the destruction of the palace and the vanquishing the offspring of the royal family. They now spread everywhere. The remnant was unknown back then till recently on the initiative of one person there the digging was conducted. During the old regime, Old Banten was stated to be dead site. So, not like Borobudur temple, the Old Banten remained infamous. The reconstruction was done very slowly.
