This is what I call with real adventure. I have never tasted this great adventure before. Usually we (my fellow teachers) just go for a casual adventure. We went to Mt. Puntang in Banjaran. It was raining season at that time. But we insisted of going for we really...I mean really really need some refreshing after some hectic in school.
Mama was our leader. There were 7 ladies and 3 men only. 4 of those ladies are married women (is that really necessary to be mentioned here??????????). They were great despite the age. They could handle the rough stony path. In the middle of our journey , rain poured heavily. So....we were all soaking wet. Our destination is the waterfall. Somehow we couldn't reach the place because there's landslide. If we insisted of going there, we had to clinging on the big tree root . On our left side is a cliff. No need to endanger ourselves, so we decided to return. It was disappointing of course but we can always come back.
During our journey of returning to our post, I was trembling for we hadn't got our lunch (we're still amateur). My hands felt so aching and cold. I felt that in any moment I could die. And that was the moment I started to shake with fear of my own sins and the smell of death. I started to remember Allah. Geez....it's so human. Whenever we encounter trouble and rough times we remember Him (well, at least that's me). Where are we when we're happy. Does He exist? ( that's the question for me). I think I was still given some times to mend my act. I am still alive. I could go home though soaking wet and trembling. Wearing only my jacket and my mukena I went home accompanied by Pa Sa'di. Thank you Pak for willing to send me home.
We still have many hiking plans. Somehow we get addicted. There are many beautiful places outthere waiting to be visited by us. So....deungsanhaja!!!!!!!!!
