After reading Andrea’s trilogy, I started to scan my books collection. I have read good novels which some of them I don’t own caused I borrowed them from my lectured who turned to be friend. My collection wasn’t bought by me only. Some of them are gift (because I asked them to buy some books for me by saying I was so curious by the others’ opinion and sort of and sort of. In the end when I said how much I had to pay, they would nicely said no need) from my friends and students who happened to study abroad. Let’s see. I have Matilda from Koko who once studied in Manchester, Totto-chan English version from Diana who happened to visit Singapore, Totto-chan Japanese version from Afi who once worked in Japan of course, Roald Dahl’s, Isabel Allende’s and some others from Mamad who once studied in Aussie, Shakespeare’s from …. (sorry I really forgot his name), Little Prince and Eva Luna from Ari (my prof whom I told you before) and the last one is Coffee Price from Chang Woo Oppa (I haven’t finished reading it since it’s written in Korean and my Korean is still poor. Need electronic dictionary desperately T__T). From all those books, I have some which are my favorite. Of course the Andrea’s trilogy, Totto-chan, Matilda, Pride and Prejudice, Little Prince, Eva Luna, Tetra logy of Buru Island, Naomi and Jomblo. There’s a funny story about Jomblo. I had watched the movie first and it was funny but one of my teacher’s colleges told me that the novel was far more interesting and much funnier. So, Nur (one of my best buds and I did this quest to get for the novel and the VCD. We found both of them. We gave our comment in our book and both read the book on the way home (Nur and I took different way since we live far from each other). An Important tip: Don’t you ever read Jomblo in public place or public transportation because you will end up laughing excitedly alone since others don’t read with you. And that was exactly what had happened to me. I ended up laughing and couldn’t stop. I was laughing in the bus and the persons next to me was amazed and bedazzled since I laughed till my tears came out. It’s a very funny book folks. So beware! I was not the only victim. The truth finally revealed that others who read the book in public places and transportation experienced the same situation like Nur and I. And it will happen the same to you if you read Andrea’s books. Besides very touching it is very funny too, so my sisters and I did the same thing as when we read Jomblo. I had to cover my face with the book to avoid the stare of others. Now I am in the middle of reading Kambing Jantan. I can’t tell you whether I like it or not since I haven’t finished it. The desire of reading it is not as huge when I read those fav books of mine. *^^*
