Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining
Wednesday was my special day. It was the day that I found out that my school is very far from my house.
That day, I was really down. Tears kept rolling down on my cheeks. I hate to see myself so out of control. I decided to leave the place for I couldn't hold back the tears. That's also the reason why I didn't take Angkot. My eyes were red and swollen. I couldn't stand the way people look at me with these swollen red eyes.
It was almost 2 P.M. when I started to walk. The sun was very bright. My heart was still in great pain. I tried to distract myself for feeling really guilty towards someone by noticing every single little things. Something which I usually miss when I go to school using motorbike with my cousin.
While walking, suddenly I heard my cell phone rang. The number was unknown, yet I decided to answer it. I couldn't recognize it right away due to the noise of the traffic. When he started to mention his nickname which was made by me, I knew right away who he was. My face was glowing with happiness. It was him, the man who so far still means a lot to me.
His short phone call somehow managed to ease the wound that I had at that time. Although it didn't help cure it completely but it was like a breeze in the hot daylight. The call led me to the proverb "Every cloud has a silver lining" which I recited slowly.
The journey was quite taking my energy till I couldn't walk as fast as when I started. I even had to drag my feet to keep on walking. There's an old man in front of me. I kept walking behing him because I didn't have the energy to go ahead of him. But I guess he thought I was being polite, so he asked me to just go ahead of him. Geez...I had to collect all the energy left to walk a little faster.
My feet were really in great pain, yet I decided to keep on walking. You know, the pain and the fatigue really worked in distracting my wounded heart. Finally, I reached my place but not there yet. I still had to walk to get to my house. Ooh no, my feet were no longer be able to walk. I decided to take ojeg instead. I gave up!
Arriving at home, I put my feet inside the bucket filled with warm salty water. Gosh! it felt really great!
