Biking Again After Such a Long Time

I got the bike! Yeah! It was hilarious for finally I could ride a bike again. Gosh, it’s been a long time really. I seized it from my students. While walking towards Mas Tole (the famous baso seller in SMUTH), my two students passed by. Abruptly, I ordered them to lend the bike to me (Anyway, since I am their teacher, they couldn’t say no ^^). Oh, the bike belongs to Pa Kardi who is the librarian of our school.

No further delay, I rode on the bike quickly. Gosh! It’s great. It felt really great! All these times I could only stare and wish of riding on that bike with the basket and finally that day I could realize it (silly wish???)

Heading towards school I called Noe, my friend, to play together. I asked her to take me in the back. We went out around the neighborhood but we couldn’t ride that long since it’s not ours. Sitting in the back felt great. Unfortunately, the scenery wasn’t that great, houses and houses. I was imagining a great savannah or green grass or streams. Huh! Sorry! Those things are too luxurious these days.

In school, I managed to ride the bike for some times and we didn’t forget to take our pictures with the bike. Well, how can we forget about taking pictures? We’re narcissists!

I am hoping that someday, my wish to ride a bike along with those great views will come true. What a day it will be……^__^q

프라이팬 놀이/Frying Pan Game/BTS

Playing Frying Pan Game/BTS We played a new game called Frying pan game (프라이팬 놀이) with our Korean guests in our Korean Class. It was fun. It’s like catching the mouse game. We learn the Korean numbers in the same time. Say, if your friend mentions your name and the number, you have to mention your name according to the number he/she mentions previously. For example, if your friend says "Dana dul (2)", so you have to say your name twice, "Dana...Dana" and so on and so on. If you make a mistake, well, you get the punishment. The type of the punishment depends on the agreement of the players. They are many types, trust me. Just choose one. Yutnori

Yutnori Apa itu Yutnori ? Hmmm... pernah dengar yutnori (dibaca: yunnori)? kata ini bukan berasal dari bahasa Jawa tapi bahasa Korea. Yutnori adalah nama salah satu permainan tradisional Korea. Permainan ini biasa dimainkan secara beregu ketika acara tahun baru Korea yang disebut juga 설날 (sollal) . Tahun baru biasanya menjadi ajang kumpul seluruh anggota keluarga. Selain makan Tteokguk , mereka biasanya memainkan Yutnori . Ini penampakan Yutnori , ada papan permainan dan dadunya. Yang unik, dadunya tidak bentuk kotak seperti kebanyakan dadu pada umumnya tapi berbentuk batangan. Hal lain yang membedakan dadu yutnori dari dadu pada umumnya adalah tidak ada bentuk titik-titik yang melambangkan angka. Yang ada itu tulisan 도 (Do), 개 (Gae), 걸 (Gul), dan 윷 (Mo) . Historical Visit

Historical Visit Besides visiting Baduy. We also visited the old Banten. Banten used to be the most popular kingdom. It is known till England. Once their representative visited England and they were welcomed exaggeratedly. Banten is famous because it had an international port for trading. People from many countries visited it. Unfortunately there’s disagreement between the father—Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa—and the son—Sultan Haji who collaborated with the Dutch—which lead to the destruction of the palace and the vanquishing the offspring of the royal family. They now spread everywhere. The remnant was unknown back then till recently on the initiative of one person there the digging was conducted. During the old regime, Old Banten was stated to be dead site. So, not like Borobudur temple, the Old Banten remained infamous. The reconstruction was done very slowly.
